Life Cycle Management

The master data life cycle include design, check, creation, maintenance and deletion. OR Soft solutions for master data maintenance can be applied in every phase of the life cycle. In a design phase, a data migration or an initial data creation for a system set up OR Soft solutions allow to simulation a data integration in a SAP ERP system. Doing this simulation quality and usability of the data can be checked and incorrect data can be revised manually or automatically.

The master data check functionality can be used also for complex master data like routings and includes plausibility checks and tests regarding accurate and complete data entries. After the data examination is passed the data integration in SAP ERP can be carried out. The creation of master data in ERP system is executed user monitored and can be done on a single data set level or bulk processed.

The validation of master data is a permanent process due to the fact that changes within processes often trigger changes in master data. Data maintenance and validation is enabled in the OR Soft software using various filter-, sort-, check- and alert functionalities which are including in the standard function set. On demand also bulk processed master data maintenance processes can be executed supported by multiple functionalities to substitute, add or multiple data entries. A strong functionality is the focus-technology enabling the user to find and change data on a multi-object level (e.g. a changed BOM entry is forcing to change the production technology simultaneously)

At the end of the life cycle it is important to find out which master data is not used anymore. Via its approach to cross-link master data OR Soft solution offers powerful functionality also in this stage of the life cycle. For example it can easily be examined within the software which material master data sets are no longer used in a BOM or in dynamic data. The deletion process is processed based on the parameters of the ERP system e.g. set of a delete flag or a deactivation status.
