Mass Management

To change values

Values of several selected objects can be changed at once with features like "set value", "add value", "multiply with value" for all the selected objects. This way, the modification of hundreds of master data sets is just a question of two or three mouse clicks and takes no longer than a minute. Since the actualisation is beeing done in the background, the user can continue working on other objects meanwhile.

To change values

Beside the opportunity to change single objects with the Master Data Management Cockpit, mass changes are possible as well. The handling of big data volumes is very convenient because of the LiveCache technology which stores all objects in the RAM of the client or server computer. Direct access instead of data transactions makes the group handling much faster. The changed values can be updated in SAP R/3 on user request or directly in an asynchronous manner.

Above modification of existing objects within SAP R/3 the creation of new simulated objects is also possible only in the LiveCache. This allows simulations like "How would these objects influence controlling, pricing, environmental and more issues?" before the data is beeing made available to all SAP R/3 users. Simulated objects can be copied and handled like any SAP R/3 master data objects.

Drag and drop features

Having to change many master data sets and only certain data at the same time, the drag and drop functions are very useful. Especially when deriving new recipes from templates or copying BOMs to new products, this feature saves a lot of time and helps to reduce errors during the maintenance process.

Focus Technology

The focus technology automatically selects only all objects which are related to one or several preselected other objects. E.g. show all recipes belonging to one selected product Thus all objects which will be affected by a certain intended mass change operation can be found at once.
