Manual Plausibility Check

Many manual checks are possible: select a final product with all dependent objects, like recipes (production versions) of the final product, preproducts and ingredients of the final product recipes (production versions) of all the preproducts etc. For each recipe a dynamic object view (cascade for all production steps) can be built automatically in which the recipe steps have been scheduled. As an result the recipes can be verified if they are suitable for planning and scheduling.

Manual and automatic plausibility checks help to find conspicious data like missing information, wrong parameter, doubled objects etc. Especially when processing huge amounts of data, this feature can help to maintain a good data quality easily with only a small expenditure. The results can be reproduced and proofed. Successful tests improve the trust in the SAP solution for all users and disencumber the IT basis from potential error notifications which are related to wrong use of the system rather than to bad data quality.

Automatic Plausibility Check

The correctness of the recipe data can be checked according to predefined rules. This allows to save standard scenarios and checks for contineous proof of the master data quality. The result of the checks - examination protocols with errors or warnings - can be used as an indicator for further data maintenance.
